The New Year has arrived and the boys and girls who prepared for and celebrated First Confession last Advent, have now begun their course of preparation for First Holy Communion due to take place in April.
On Sunday morning prior to the 9.30am Mass they signed their Enrolment Certificate stating that they would do their very best in the forth coming course. The certificate was also signed by a parent to promise that the home will provide encouragement and suppost. The certificates came prepared with the signature of Mrs Cywinski the Chief Catechist and the Parish Priest who, again promised that the catechists and the parish would do all that is necessary to support these children. At the beginning of Mass the boys and girls were called forward and presented to the congregation who were asked to support these girls and boys with their prayers in the weeks ahead. Before the children were dismissed to the Children's Liturgy the whole congregation, led by the priest prayed over the children.
