Tiny, enormous, old, new, handcrafted, inflatable! Parishioners brought a fantastic variety of cribs to be blessed ready for the Christmas season.
Each year we invite members of the parish to bring their cribs from home to be blessed ahead of Christmas. In this way, we ask God to bless our celebration - not just here at the church, but in our homes and amongst our families. Having a crib at home is a beautiful tradition and is closely linked to St Francis of Assisi, who recreated the Bethlehem scene at Greccio in 1223.
