Jesus was born a refugee. Today the commercial world has turned his birthday into a festival of self-indulgence. While it is important to celebrate this great feast with family and friends, we invite you to consider how you might celebrate in a way that benefits the poor and oppressed rather than adding to the ever-growing mountain of consumer goods. We would welcome any information on ways you have found to make the celebration of Christmas more meaningful, so that we can share them with others.

During Advent, the CAFOD Group will be collecting donations for the Christmas "links" which make up the paper chains used to decorate the Church. Each link represents a meal for a person in the Third World.
