Wednesday 21st July saw the final Mass of the school year for St. Clare’s School. The votive Mass of St. Clare was celebrated as her feast falls during the school holidays and most of the children do not get chance to celebrate it.
It was a Mass of Thanksgiving for all the blessings of the school year. The children, led by Judith Chaloner, provided the music which was amazing.
At the beginning of the Mass a new picture of St. Clare, donated by a parent for the school, was blest. And at the end of Mass, all the boys and girls who were leaving for new schools came and knelt at the front of the church whilst all the congregation stretched out their hands towards them as Fr. Loughran prayed God’s blessing and protection upon them.
