Many months ago a parishioner offered to buy some new Holy Water Stoups for the church. She was non too keen on the 'pudding bowls' that were in use. And so it was that a long period of searching began to try and find small marble stoups that would match with the Baptismal Font and the sum donated. But none couid be found!
Instead we bought some brass stoups designed and made in Germany. These were blest at the Monthly Novena Mass on the first Saturday in August.
We were reminded that the tradtion of crossing ourselves with the Holy Water as we enter church is to recall our baptism; it should also make us aware that we are entering a special place, one dedicated to God.
