PopeThe Pastoral Council of St Clare's church have been so inspired by the recent visit of Pope Benedict XVI they have decided to share their experiences of the visit with the local community through on Open Evening on Friday 1st October in St Clare's Primary School. We would like to welcome anyone along to this informal event.

Graham Templeton, a member of the Pastoral Council and a Eurcharistic Minister at St. Clare's Catholic church, Sharoe Green Lane said "It was such a wonderful experience to see the Pope visit our country and hear the warm and positive message that he had to give to the nation. We in our small way would like to share our experiences of the visit and continue to spread that positive message. We'd like to invite people to come along to see us to talk about the visit and the example the Pope has given us".

St. Clare's Pastoral Council have arranged an open evening at the school where all members of the public are invited to attend. Mr Templeton said "This is for anyone who may be interested in finding out a little more about the Catholic faith following the Pope's visit and to those Catholics how may have fallen away from the church in the past. Don't worry, there'll be no preaching, hards sell or attempted conversions Guranteed! It's simply an opportunity to hear about the visit and about how our faith helps us in our daily lives".

Cheese, wine and refreshments will be available at the event which starts on Friday, 1st October at 8pm in St Clare's Primary School, Sharoe Green Lane.
