As you can see from the image of the Crib (and from the gallery pictures) Christmas has arrived at St. Clare's. The crib is in place, the Chrsitmas tree is on view; the flowers have been arranged and the men and women of the parish (the usual suspects!) have been busy getting everything ready - we are, as ever, grateful to them.
Special vision is called for at Christmas, a vision that sees beyond the pastiche that we call the crib, a vision that sees beyond the tinsel and froth, to the reality behind it all. The reality is that God chose to become human (the Incarnation) in the person of Jesus Christ in the most messy and chaotic of ways and places. He dis that so that we might invite him into the chaos and mess that often marks our lives. Jessu came to reconcile us to God and to one another, we should not be slow to turn to him and seek his mercy and blessing in our lives.
