Manual dexterity, patience and a sense of fun were on display in the Parish Hall on Saturday 26th February at the Card Making Event organised by Jeanne Cook to raise some funds for our overseas project of supporting a school attached to a Refugee Settlement in Bosnia Herzegovina.
Jeanne had employed the skills of a professional in card Making and a number of ladies had set the day aside to learn and to do.
These little events, unknown to most and supported by the few are the stuff that the Kingdom of God is made of. As our Lord said in the Gospel: the mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds and yet the harvest is vast. Same with our efforts for the Kingdom of God; it is the little things that count.
