It is unusal these days to have May Processions in honour of our Blessed Lady. And I would suggest that it is even more unusual to have a May Procession on a Monday - but needs must!
And indeed, in some ways it was fitting to have the procession on the first day of the working week; our Lady wants to be involved in all aspects of our lives and in that sense, Monday was a good day. So we began in our school hall with prayers and then went in procession with the statue of our Lady to church singing merrily as we went. In church we prayer a decade of the rosary for our families; we prayed a prayer of consecration to our Lady and ended with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
