It has reached that time of year again when we say farewell to the boys and girls in our top year at St. Clare's School as they prepare to enter their next stage of education. So it was that the top class and rest of the school gathered in St. Clare's Church on Thursday morning for an end of year Mass.
The theme was two fold: firstly, that of thanksgiving for all the blessings of the school year; secondly, to honour our patron, St. Clare whose actual feast day falls during the school holidays.
The Mass was filled with joy and thanksgiving, music and prayer. There were some tears mainly from the parents of the children who will leave school for the last time.
We pray God's blessing for them and put them under the protection of our Blessed Lady and St. Clare.
