At a time when Vocations to the Priesthood seem very few and far between it is heartening to know that one of the organisations of the International Church takes seriously its duty to pray for vocations to the priesthood.
Quite a large group of Catenians gathered in St. Clare's church on Tuesday 2nd August for a Mass for Vocations. Each year the Catenian Brothers ask for Mass to be clebrated for this intention. The celebrant was able to point out to the Brothers how their prayers were being answered; one of the Mass deacons was Rev. Darren Carden who, in the autumn, will be ordained priest for the Lancaster Diocese (DV). He encouraged the catenians to continue to pray for this important intention.
