Tonight’s Jubilee Mass was the conclusion of a year of events in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the parish.
We were privileged to have been joined by our previous parish priest, Fr. Lakeland as well as a number of other clergy who have been stationed at St. Clare’s over the years including, Fr. Towers and Fr. O’Connor.
This was a wonderful occasion for the parish to reflect and give thanks for 40 years of coming together in prayerful community. Bishop Campbell highlighted the significance of 40 within the Bible but hoped that following our mass that it wouldn’t rain for 40 days and 40 nights!
Following the service, parishioners gathered in the hall for some refreshments and to view the photographic exhibition. I don’t think too many people saw the picture of me as an 8 year old in shorts!!
