Good King Wenceslas was no where to be seen on this particular feast of Stephen. However, about half of St. Clare's company of Altar Servers were about, indeed, about their Father's business, serving Holy Mass, supported by family and friends and the clergy of the parish.
Fr Darren in his homily spoke of the importance of the task of Altar Serving; the Server was a 'link' between the action on the sanctuary and the people in the benches.
Just before the end of Mass Fr Loughran called forward Patrick McGeoghan to receive his silver medal from the Guild of St. Stephen for Altar Servers. This marked 10 years of service. All the servers present were given a rosary bracelet and asked to wear it as a witness to their faith.
After the conclusionof Mass, the servers gathered for a group photograph.
