The period between Easter and Pentecost is the ideal time in which to focus on the coming of the Holy Spirit. In the Liturgy of the Word at Mass we have the unfolding of the story of the early Church as told by St. Luke in the Acts of the Apostles; it is almost a breathless account of the action of the Holy Spirit at work in the faithful lives of the Apostles and those early Disciples.
So Tuesday by Tuesday in St. Clare's Parish Hall a group of around 50 people have gathered to enter into these Seminars. Each Seminar begins with a time of Prayer and Praise, and then a Presentation is given the subjects being:
God the Father's LOVE for each one of us; JESUS who brings freedom; The Holy Spirit - Agent for CHANGE; The Gifts of the Holy Spirit; Life in abundance & Empowered to Serve - Prayer Ministry. After the Presentation those gathered divide into groups for a period of sharing which is followed by a final time of Prayer.
Each week, at the end of the session, 'homework' is given in the shape of a 'day-by-day' leaflet indicating passages from the scripture to be read and prayed over throughout the course of the Seminars.
On the final evening of the Seminars prayer will be offered to those who wish for a renewal of the Grace of the Holy Spirit.
