Seven Palks WalkOn Saturday 2nd June, a group of seven parishioners took part in the sponsored Seven Preston Parks Walk of thirteen miles.

The walk started from Moor Park and took us down Aqueduct Street to the end of the Lancaster Canal. We followed the canal into Haslam Park. From there we crossed Blackpool Road to Ashton Park and continued down to Preston Docks. A short refreshment break was taken at The Green Frog before we continued over the swing bridge to join the path along the River Ribble. We were now on the new Guild Wheel cycling and walking path. We continued along the Guild Wheel in to Miller Park and on into Avenham Park. Here a lunch break was taken before proceeding to Frenchwood and beyond to Fishwick Bottoms. Crossing the A59 near the Tickled Trout, we climbed up through Brockholes Wood to the Moor Nook estate and Grange Park. From Grange Park our path took us across Ribbleton Avenue and into Brookfield Linear Park.

Our final lap took us behind the Holme Slack estate and Sainsbury's to arrive at Deepdale Road and a short walk back to where we had started on Moor Park. A total time of six hours.

We hope to have raised over £500 for the parish's effort in the Guild celebration. It's not too  late to donate in support of our effort. Thank You.
