This week’s number was slightly larger than last week. The boys and girls were resplendent in their First Holy Communion outfits, just as they should be on the day they received Christ for the first time in Holy Communion.
As ever, they were well supported by family and friends and parishioners. They church oozed love for these children. And this was the feast of the birthday of St John the Baptist; the boys and girls were reminded that even as a tiny baby in his mother’s womb, John was part of God’s plan. Just as they too, are part of God’s good plan for our world.
Grateful thanks was given to Mrs Cywinski and her team of catechists who have journeyed with the children over these last months.
