Our two celebtarions of First Holy Communion culminated with a grand celebration on the Vigil of the Apostles Peter and Paul. The boys and girls gathered as a group in church for the evening Mass, giving thanks for the great gift of Jesus in Holy Communion. And once again they donned their Communion Outfits.
Afterwards, in the Parish Hall, they gathered for a celebration of a different kind: a Bun Fight! The prelude to which was the presentation of the First Holy Communion Certificates. A wonderful cake (two actually!) had been baked which, after the formal cutting, all enjoyed.
