Twenty boys and girls this evening were sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit! What a great occasion to wind up 6 months of catechestical preparation. The Bishop of the Diocese, Rt Rev Michael Campbell OSA, celebrated the great Sacrament of Confirmation during the evening Mass.
The boys and girls were accompanied by members of their families and those who had journyed with them in the catechetical sessions, and a good number of parishioners.
After the Confirmation all repaired to the Parish Hall where the bishop presented the certificates to the newly Confirmed. Votes of thanks were given to the Bishop and those out team of Catechists: Mrs Cywinski, Mrs Scales and Dr Chesworth.
