Besides gathering for the Masses of the Assumption and, as well as decorating the statue of our Lady in church, a group of parishioners gathered with the clergy at our 'link' parish, St Mary's, Fernyhalgh in the late morning of the feast to recite the Glorious Mysteries of the Holy Rosary.
The intention this year was to pray for the families of the parish. 'Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen'
