The Christian Feast of Easter is born out of the Jewish Feast of Passover; the two coincide each year. For Catholics the Mass has its antecedence in the Passover Meal which Jesus attended and became known as 'The Last Supper.'
There, our Blessed Lord, according to Catholic tradition of the Passover and reworked it into the New Covenant which the following day (Good Friday) he sealed in his precious blood.
It was with great respect that some of the parishioners gathered during Holy Week to remember their Passover Heritage working their way through the ceremony and thanking God for such great a gift.
