It's been a while since the last open parish meeting and we need to update you with our plans for the next meeting which will be on Wednesday 5th December after the 7pm Mass.
At the last meeting we had lots of wonderful ideas and suggestions as well as a few comments about what's not so good. One of the suggestions we received was for the parish council to facilitate some group discussions in order to stimulate some initiatives, so that is what we are going to do!
Brigit from the Parish Council has spent some time analysing the comments and four themes have emerged, Education, Consultation, Celebration and Participation.
Of course, in this Year of Faith it is vital that our core mission is to strengthen our relationship with God and so this must be at the heart of what we do.
We are often reminded that being a Catholic is about committing to a life of service. If St Clare's Parish is to flourish then we must be prepared to invest a little of our time and energy and not always rely on others to carry forward all of the wonderful ideas that have come forward to-date. With this in mind, we are hoping that at our next meeting there will be people who are willing and able to help support the development of these ideas, or they will be destined to remain as ideas.
Below is a diagram depicting the four focussed themes and there is a supporting document with information from the feedback we received at the last meeting.
Parish Meeting 25.09.12 - thematic analysis v1.2
We would love you to review this information and come along to our meeting on the 5th December, participate in the group discussion and perhaps volunteer to help support some of the ideas that arise.
We look forward to seeing you :-)
