The Holy Season of Advent is one of patient, expectful waiting. It is the wonderful time of preparing for the celebration of Christ's birth. The scene was beautifully set by the junior children from St Clare's School is their Advent Service.
Beginning in the Old Testament with the Prophet Isaiah, the boys and girls told the story of the coming of the promised Messiah, taking us through the angel's message to Mary, her visitation of her cousin, Elizabeth and the proclamation of John the Baptist to prepare for the coming of the Lord.
In word and song and with their own musical accompaniment, the girls and boys brought a church packed with their parents ansd family, to an understanding that this is a time for all to prepare their hearts so that Christ can be born their.
