The Season of Advent sees our churches denuded of flowers, it reflects the semi-penitential feel of the Season. But Christmas is a different matter; flowers in excelsis festoon the church, and rightly so. The feast of the incarnation is secondly only to Easter.
The ladies of the flower teams pool their efforts in this special time; they gathered together on Christmas Eve morning in the parish hall and worked away until they could fittingly decorate the church for this most wonderful feast.
