Cenacolo CommunityIt has become a bit of a tradition that, on Christmas Day, the lads of the Cenacolo Community at Dodding Green have lunch with Fr Chris, the Priest Visitor to the House. The lads arrived at the Presbytery late morning and spent some time in the Parish Hall with Ping Pong, Skittles and a Laurel & Hardy DVD. Then into the Presbytery to prepare for lunch.

Some kind folk in Kendal had very thoughtfully provided some (a lot) of the providence for the meal which was a grand festive affair. The lads were touched that not only had the friends from Kendal remembered them but, whilst they were at the Presbytery, several people came to the door with offerings for the lunch.
After lunch, the lads listened to the Chrsitmas message of Her Majesty The Queen. The lads who are not British were surprised at the Christian content of the Message. Later, all repaired to the Church for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosary; they prayed for family and friends and those who provided providence for them. And then, as the dusk of Christmas Day fell, they made their way back to Cenacolo to carry on their 'walk' from darkness to light.
