Whilst many were heading for the Boxing Day sales a group of St Clare's Altar Servers came to the Mass of St Stephen - the Patron Saint of Altar Servers - to renew their commitment to or be enrolled in the Guild of St Stephen for Altar Servers.
We are blessed at St Clare's to have such a large group of Servers. Sadly, not all of them could make today's celebration. Those who did were applauded by the congregation and, at the end of Mass, received a commemorative bookmark. One of their number, Josh Hunter, received his Silver Medal for 10 years service at the altar of the Lord.
