Catholic Primary Schools are an integral part of any Catholc Parish; that is certainly the case with St. Clare's School.
The Year of Faith, called by Pope Benedict and carried forward by Pope Francis, has provided an opportunity for the parish community to come together for a celebration at the school, indeed a whole day of celebrations.
The day began with Mass but this Mass was celebrated outside, in the school grounds taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Following the Mass refreshments were served in the school and parishioners invited to help in the classes with the children who were finishing off their work on saints, 'those who accompany us on our journey of faith.'
After lunch the children took their 'saint banners' in procession to the grotto of our Lady in the school grounds.
