Perhaps it is incorrect to use a boxing analagy for the Sacramental Programmes, but today the First Holy Communion Programme began with the enrolment Mass and first Session of catechesis.
Just before Advent (Nov 2012) the First Confession Programme was brought to its completion when the boys and girls celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. Today they have embarked upon the second phase in readiness to receive Christ for the first time in Holy Communion.
At the Enrolment Mass they signed a certificate to say that they would do their very best; the certificate was also signed by Fr Loughran pledging the support of the parish with prayer, by Mrs Cywinski on behalf of the Catechists, and also signed by the parents to say that the home will support these children.
