Ash Wednesday is quite a busy one in the parish; the priests facilitate 7 Services: Two Masses in Church, one Service for the Infants in school, one Mass at Corpus Christi College, one lunchtime Service at RPH, one Mass there and one for the Cenacolo Community. All important so as to enable God's faithful people to enter well into this sacred time of Lent.
The boys and girls in KS2 led the way at the 9.30am Mass proving their theological knowledge by the way they responded during the Homily and that was the case throughout the day culminating in the Parish 7pm Mass where those who go to work during the day were able to receive the imposition of Ashes. Our prayer must be that this 'good beginning' will carry on throughout the Holy Season.
