It could have been such a lovely visit but it was a bit marred by torrential rain, but undaunted a group of parishioners spent the afternoon at the Cenacolo Community near Kendal.
The Cenacolo Community was established in 1983 to support those who were turning away from a life of addiction and learning a new way of life. The group of parishioners went to Dodding Green and saw first hand the good work that goes on there.
Two of the young men, Peter & Edward, spent the afternoon with us explaining the history of Cenacolo, the routine of the House, the work carried out there and something too, of their own stories.
Everyone was greatly impressed by what they saw and touched by the story of the guys.
