Indeed, many babies came, and they brought their parents also. The occasion? A Mass of celebration for all those families who had, over the last twelve months or so, had a child baptised at St Clare's. What a joy to see so many young familes gathered for Mass.
It was an opportunity too, for the Baptismal Catechists to renew their commitment to their ministry, this they did after Fr Carden's homily. The profession of Faith was under the form of the Renewal of Baptismal promises for which the families gathered near the sanctuary. Here, each child was presented with a small crucifix which had been blest at the Mass.
The celebration was rounded off in the Parish hall with breakfast - bacon butties abounded!
