A sensational autumn day dawned and the children of St Clare's school filed quietly into church to lead a Service of Thanksgiving for the Harvest.
Through music, singing and choral speaking the boys & girls gave praise to God for his gift of creation and fruitfulness; they prayed for the disadvantaged and those struggling at this time through poverty.
The parents of the children had played their part too, they provided a whole host of harvest hampers which the Headteacher and some of the children later took round to some of the elderly and housebound parishioners. Also to benefit were the residents of the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Preston Food Bank run by the Salvation Army.
The art work, created for the occasion is now on display in the church.
