Each year, in the month of November, the month of the Holy Souls, an afternoon Service is held for those who wish to gather to rememeber their departed loved ones. Invitations are sent to the bereaved whose family member's funeral was conducted from St Clare's over the last 12 months. But everyone is welcome.
Seventy or so people gather at St Clare's on Sunday afternoon for this Service. It took the usual form; the bereaved were invited to write the names of those they wishes to commemorate on sheets of paper befoe the Service and to take a votive light. The Service was punctuated by prayers, hymns and scripture. A roll call of those who had died in the previous 12 months was made and the congregation were asked to light a candle in memory of their loved one.
Refreshments were afterwards served in the Parish Hall.
