Rite of election

The Rite of Election has nothing to do with ballots or voting!

It has everything to do with being officially accepted by the Church, in the person of the bishop, as a Catechumen or Candidate who will be baptised or received into full communion with the Church at Easter. This Rite of Election is held at the Cathedral [Lancaster] on the first Saturday of Lent. Two candidates and a catechumen were presented from St Clare's and well supportede by those who have been journeying with them.
