A weekend of contrasts and a busy weekend too as the accompanying photographs will show.
It started on Friday following the lunchtime Mass; it is our practice during Lent to offer a Soup Lunch and send whatever proceeds to a good cause. The boys and girls in our primary school, class by class, come to the Mass and afterwards those who wish come to the lunch.
Saturday was one of our periodic Days of Renewal. This time our guest speaker was Sr Roseann Reddy a religious sister who runs the Cardinal Winning ProLife Centre in Glasgow. This was attended by 50 or 60 people.
Sunday evening heralded one of our World Youth Day fund raising events (we hopet o sponsor 20 young people) when the Indian members of the parish worked together to organise an 'Indian Night.' The food was delicious and plentiful and the Indian dancing a sight to behold. £560 was raised!
