May Procession

This was the chorus of just one of the many hymns that the congregation sang to honour Mary, the Mother of Christ in our annual May Procession.

That congregation was made up mainly of the boys & girls from our Primary School. Indeed, the procession was preceded by a short Service in the School Hall and then snaked its way across the play ground into church.

In church the flowers that the girls & boys brought were placed in front of the statue that they had carried from school (later the be displayed by the flower arrangers); the statue was crowned and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament was given. After the Prayer of Consecration the boys and girls sang their final hymn and departed.
