Great food and good company tonight at the Indian Dinner evening, which raised £838 for our parish Syria project.
Fatima and her team of volunteers did an amazing job feeding over 80 people with some delicious Indian food, and it was great to see the parish hall so full of people - a really good cross-section of the parish. The event was in aid of our project to support displaced families in Syria, part of a North-West regional project by Aid to the Church in Need. Since May the parish has now raised over £8000 - enough to support four displaced families for a year. An amazing achievement! Thanks to everyone who came, and especially to those who so generously helped to make this a really successful and enjoyable evening.
