There were about 130 of us participating from both St Clare's and our partners at the United Reform Church in Fulwood. The floats were magnificent and ably depicted the theme of, "The Bread of Life"and it was visiually on display one our float were we saw the production of bread from the time it was wheat until it came out of the oven. But we went step further and showed how God uses this staple element to feed our souls in Holy Communion. And how apt it was to have Corpus Christi College with their name redolent of our theme, walking with us and providing fantastic music.

There seemed to be thousands of people lining the streets of Preston, all cheering and waving as we walked accompanied by the sounds of the Corpus Christi steel band. This truly was a memorable day and special thanks should go to all those who put in so much time and effort during the preceding guild workshops.
