GFF PilgrimageThe term began with a games and Pizza night to gather everyone back again after the Christmas break. Since then we have explored themes such as hearing God’s voice, being guided by Him, Fasting, Almsgiving and Prayer during Lent and the Stations of the Cross.

GFF PilgrimageYesterday we finished our term with a Pilgrimage to Ladyewell where we spent the evening reflecting on what it means to be God’s friends, as the name GFF (God’s Friends Forever) is what the group chose to be called. So we started by looking at what makes a good friend, then discussed how we could demonstrate these qualities in our faith and relationship with God.

We also found out about the saints and martyrs whose relics are at the Shrine and talked about how they showed their friendship with God. We finished by watching a short video about how Jesus demonstrated His friendship for us outlined in the scripture ‘Greater love has no one than this: to lay down his life for his friends’ (John 15:13) and then had a short time of adoration and an opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation. So all in all a busy term and we look forward to seeing everyone again after the Easter Break!
