It was a great joy on Saturday to see eighteen children from our parish receive Jesus in Holy Communion for the first time.

The children began their preparation in September 2019 and should have received Holy Communion last June, but the pandemic delayed the preparation and the first Communion Mass by a whole year. So after a long and patient wait, and much careful preparation, the joyful celebration finally took place. Sadly there are still four children who couldn't go ahead at this stage, but will have the opportunity to make their first Communion in the coming weeks. A big thanks to all the families for their patience and for supporting the children in their faith, and also to our parish catechists and our primary school, who work so hard to share our faith with those who are learning to know the Lord. Please remember the children and their families, including those who are still waiting, in your prayers.
