To end our term and celebrate all that we have done together over the last year, both the Seekers and Anointed groups had celebrations.

Our final retreat to Celebrate North West in Macclesfield where the theme was ‘See first His Kingdom’ (Matt 6:33)

The arrival of Fr Andrew gave us the perfect excuse to review and develop the youth groups that run at St Clare’s. With lots of positives to build on we wanted to look again at how to make the groups most accessible and fruitful so there have been a few changes which you may have already noticed.

This weekend a group of young people from St Clare's are in London to take part in Flame, a national gathering of 10,000 young British Catholics taking place at Wembley Arena.

In the cycle of each year we arrive at similar moments, but these moments are always different because the children are different. And so it was that the boys and girls on the present First Confession Programme received  the Act Of Contrition and an Examination of Conscience to prepare them for next week's First Confession proper.

On Sunday 20 November, our parish along with the universal Church, celebrated the feast of Christ the King, on this day the Church invites young people to be at the heart of our celebration of National Youth Sunday.

NEOCATECHUMENAL YOUNG PEOPLE - HUMILITY!

The young people from the Neo-Catechumenal Way gathered at St Clare’s yesterday (Sunday) for the  Youth Scrutatio.These events take place around every six week; young people come from different Communities to spend time together. The event starts around 2pm withthe young people just spending a little time together.

What is the Escape Room Experience? Like Crystal Maze in the 90’s, the rooms provide an interactive experience where teams race against time to ESCAPE the room by finding clues based on various scenarios to solve live puzzles within 60 minutes. It was to these Escape Rooms the the GFF Youth Group travelled on Tuesday evening for their termly 'night out.'

Just how important it is to 'tell the story' was amply exhibited on Friday evening in our Parish Hall when very many of the young peole who attend this year's World Youth Day Event in Poland gave an account of their time there.

Saturday - Vigil of World Youth Day

This time last week we were at the hotel preparing to begin our pilgrimage walk to the vigil site Campus Misericordiae (The Field of Mercy), we set off after lunch, the coach was only able to take us so far before we had to start the long walk to the field of mercy.
