The congregation of the 9.30am Mass was a little larger than usual including as it did our friends from Hodovo. At the end of the Mass, Fr Darren blessed and presented the group with a crucifix embedded in a glass block.
Refreshments after Mass in the Parish Hall took on a jolly air when a Birthday Cake was produced to celebrate the birthday of one of our guests, Ivan. The traditional 'Happy Birthday' was sung and cake shared by everyone. This led on to the Parish BBQ and Fun afternoon where games were played and a relaxing time was had by all.
After the fun of the parish day the visitors and their hosts went en masses to sample the delights of Beacon Fell where they enjoyed a picnic and plenty of exercise as they explored this beautiful part of Lancashire. Back at base there was time for a game of 'hide & seek' before retiring for the night.
