After breakfast we headed off to Hodovo, once we arrived at school we celebrated Mass with the local young people some of whom visited us in Preston only a few weeks ago.
After Mass the young people spent some time together playing Football while we were waiting for the wood to arrive to build the Peace Shrine that we were constructing. After we shared lunch together the wood arrived and Michael Speariett began to give out the instructions of what each of us needed to do, some unloaded the wood and staring building while others began to clear the ground ready for the decking area. By the end of the day the frame was built for the decking and the frame for the box that will eventually house the statue of Our Lady.
In the evening we attended the welcome Mass in Medjugorje, well over 10,000 young people we gathered together for the Mass. Our group really enjoyed the atmosphere of the welcome Mass and the introduction of each country represent at the start of the Mass, the biggest cheer was for those who had come from Syria. After the Mass the young people spent some time in the village before heading back to the hotel.
