Today we returned to Hodovo to complete the peace garden, while the adults carried on with the work the young people went down to the village to visit some the children . With the sun beating down, there needed to be time spent in the shade, luckily the team worked hard to complete the task. Everything was completed by 4pm at which time we gathered in the village chapel to celebrate Mass together. After Mass we walked back to the peace garden saying the rosary in both English and Croatian. There was then a period of silent prayer before we had some group photographs. We then said our goodbyes to those that we would not be seeing tomorrow. After returning to our hotel and after dinner we went to the candle area for a time of prayer and thanksgiving. We then returned to the hotel for a BBQ which the hotel owners put on to say good bye.
The young people then completed their diaries and went off to bed.
Today was a great achievement that the peace garden was completed, thanks to our Foreman Michael and the very hard work of all those working on the project.
