Today was a bit more relaxed and an opportunity to have a look around Kraków and the surrounding areas. There was no shortage of priests and people at Holy Trinity Church just off the main square of Kraków, and again there is no shortage of churches neither in the centre of Kraków. While in the main square at first I thought I was seeing things two Popes, when in fact it was a publicity gathering in the main square for World Youth Day. There were a number of young people from different nations that had come together to promote the event.
Later in the afternoon I visited the Divine Mercy Shrine about 20 mins away from Krakow, this was a busy place of pilgrimage for young and old alike and will be a place that we will visit as part of our pilgrimage.
I am just at the airport waiting for my flight home which departs at 21:40 should arrive at Liverpool just after midnight then travel on to Preston.
These three days have defiantly been beneficial in the planning and preparation for our parish pilgrimage to Kraków for World Youth Day
